Spin Flame Hardening is achieved when the part is heated by surrounding flame heads while it is spun rapidly. The part's temperature is maintained throughout the entire heating process using specialized micron units with infrared laser beams strategically aimed to record the most accurate temperature possible. Our specially trained, highly skilled operators are able to maintain the temperature with the integrated touch screen display on the temperature units. The temperature is recorded in chart format, and maintained with the part's records for future reference. When the part reaches the austenizing temperature of approximately 1650 F, it is immersed into a temperature controlled polymer quench. Spin Flame Hardening allows us to increase efficiency and guarantee consistency.

Typical spinning methond applications include wheels, gears, sheaves, sprockets, rollers, rings, and more.
